I'd say this is the kind of topic that gaming is perfectly suited for, and one of the few saving graces of the industry edutainment based on extremely novel, fascinating and fun ideas. Even if it isn't this specific franchise, I look forward to the next iteration of the idea. Which sucks, we could do with more games like this, it's a bloody gem. They're selling to a *very* niche market. yeah, I can see why they would struggle to get investors for a sequel.

So unless this thing is done on a shoestring budget like a few indie games I could name.

Problem is, I don't know a single other gamer who is remotely interested in the topic of human evolution like I am. Red Dead Redemption 2 adventure game, third person shooter, action, open world from 1.66 Total War: WARHAMMER III turn-based strategy from 1.93 Darkest Dungeon II RPG from 6. Roleplaying our distance ancestors in a sandbox setting, without all the stupid high fantasy stuff that other developers love to cram into their games? Hell yeah, sign me up, that sounds awesome! I'll make my own dramas, get fully invested in living the life of an early hominid for a while. Like, I'm the sort of person who really enjoys wading through Wikipedia articles and opinion pieces about why Turkana Boy was or wasn't representative of ♥♥♥♥ Ergaster because of his potential genetic abnormalities, so this kind of a game really struck a nerve for me. I very much enjoy the premise of this game, but I feel like perhaps that's the problem in why it didn't get enough interest for a sequel to be financially tempting.
